Annual Report 2023

Acknowledgements

We would like to first and foremost thank the community for taking pride in their local masjid and fostering a safe, welcoming environment for all who visit. Secondly, we wouldn’t be able to achieve even half of our accomplishments if it wasn’t for the great volunteers and their efforts. We truly appreciate your service!

Sr. Youth Program

The youth program is one of ISGH’s longstanding offerings for Muslim youth in the area. The youth program aims to help students learn about Islam in a fun and inviting environment. Each semester, we cover important topic areas of Islamic education that build on each other. In addition to learning, students get to do fun and interactive activities, socialize with fellow Muslim youth, and even attend exclusive youth program outings. Some examples include laser tag, soccer, and basketball.

Sr. Youth Program (continued)

Another key aspect of the youth program is mentorship. The youth program is run by a team of mentors who help to make it all happen. They work with kids in small groups and help them to connect and their deen. Alhamdulillah, the youth program has been very successful and is still ongoing currently. If you would like to learn more, please reach out to yo**********@ha*************.org.

Jr. Youth Program

Similar to the Youth Program, the Junior Youth Program is for younger children and meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons where they engage in fun activities such as arts and crafts.

Coding with Yasmine

Recently launched in December, this program was created to help our youth learn to code. A new session is scheduled to begin soon!

Ramadan ‘23

Our 2 brothers from Morocco came to lead us in Tarawih prayers during the month of Ramadan where we consistently had a packed house. The Friday and Saturday Iftar dinners were also a hit!

Construction Updates

A new facade was erected in July. Inspections briefly stalled the project, but insulation and drywall are now in place with exterior work scheduled to begin soon.

Summer BBQ
